Philip "BangOut" Pitts began his musical odyssey in New York City, grinding through basement studios and mastering analog synthesizers, MPC drum machines, and large-format SSL consoles. Long before software presets and digital templates existed, BangOut cultivated a ferocious sonic signature: thunderous drum programming, cinematic orchestrations, and unforgettable melodic hooks.
That distinctive sound soon caught the ears of the music industry's highest echelons, propelling BangOut into landmark studio sessions alongside Dr. Dre and Eminem during Aftermath and Interscope's most legendary era.

BangOut produced 50 Cent's Grammy-nominated multi-platinum anthem "Disco Inferno" and "In My Hood" on 50 Cent's 5x Platinum album The Massacre. He followed with the worldwide chart smash "Car Wash" for Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera, featured as the official soundtrack theme in DreamWorks' blockbuster film Shark Tale, where Jack Black and Angelina Jolie performed dialogue scenes scored directly over BangOut's production.
His compositions broke into global interactive media, driving official in-game soundtracks for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV and GTA: Liberty City, Activision's DJ Hero, THQ's 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, and Saints Row with Lloyd Banks' platinum record "Hands Up".
